This workshop provides participants with information on methods and techniques that will improve interviewing results.  Participants are provided the opportunity to increase their competency and confidence level by utilizing skill-building exercises and simulations.

  • The role employment interview should play in selection decisions
  • Overview of the different interview types/formats
  • Model for conducting effective selection interviews
  • Interview preparation:  determining job responsibilities and candidate qualifications
  • How to design a semi-structured behavioral interview
  • How to effectively review and use candidate information
  • Techniques for conducting the interview meeting.  Legally appropriate interview questions.
