As a professional in the Employment Law Group, Fran works with a wide range of businesses to develop and implement equal opportunity (EO) policies and affirmative action plans. She also conducts audits on human resources policies, practices, and processes and then makes recommendations for improvements and provides guidance on implementation.
Fran is attentive to balancing the needs of both the employer and employee, fairly and ethically, while representing the interests of management. She brings a unique perspective to her clients as she holds and maintains a law degree, though she currently doesn’t practice, and realizes employment laws can be very complex and specialized, so she takes the time to understand each client’s level of expertise with a certain topic and communicates in terms they can understand. As a result, they can collaboratively create and implement strategies that apply to the client’s given business situation.
Fran has assisted many clients though the process of compliance evaluations conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Over the years she has developed a good working relationship with compliance officers at both the state and federal level.
Prior to joining Trusight, Fran was an HR Manager at a large Twin Cities company, in addition to legal counsel at the South Florida Water Management District, working in the areas of legal compliance, policy development and implementation, and fair employment practices.
