2012 Annual Conference Recap
10/2/2012By
Thank you to everyone that attended our 2012 Annual Conference: our speakers, vendors, our host, the Minnesota Science Museum, and above all our attendees! It was an informational day, packed with great take-a-ways and in a fun and educational setting.
The highlights of Dr. Bob’s presentations gave us great ideas of how we can shape our organizations, attract and work with incoming populations. The 5 Trends were fascinating. His afternoon session offered intriguing concepts including: “A person is a person through other people”, and “Common Vision – best goals are stretch and collaborative”. Steve Hine, from DEED, explained the current and future Minnesota job market and labor pool that can help organizations with their talent management planning. A panel of representatives from organizations that work with applicants from underrepresented groups, such as veterans, people with disabilities, “recycled” retirees and former prisoners helped attendees understand how these populations can help fill their open positions. Several Trusight consultants and trainers also shared their expertise on topics relevant to the conference theme of “Preparing for the Future: Investing in the Human Side of Business.”
Thanks to everyone for making it a great learning and networking experience. We look forward to seeing you next year!
